Your wedding day will be one of the most special occasions in your life and
you may be planning to capture some precious moments forever on film, video tape
or DVD. If you include music, whether live, pre-recorded or added during the
editing process, then you may need a Wedding Video-Recording Licence. The cost
of this is nominal,
and you can purchase and and see all the details at
www.videolicence.co.uk
The Wedding Video-Recording Licence is a simple and convenient 'one-stop' way to ensure you have complied with Copyright Law by granting you permission on behalf of the Copyright Owners for all the music you are likely to use.
Whenever music is performed or recorded, Copyright is involved. The Law
requires that permission must be obtained in advance from the Copyright Owners
and the appropriate fees paid.
Weddings and Receptions are no exception. When they are filmed or
video-recorded, any music used during the event or overdubbed afterwards,
whether live or from a commercial sound recording, is affected by these rights.
Why do I need a Licence also from the Church as well?
Recording of any kind whether Audio or Visual by any means on Church premises
requires a Licence from the Church.
A non-commercial Licence can be purchased from the Parish office or bought
on-line from the Alice Shop.
The Church is required to check that you have Licences prior to any event that
is on Church premises.
