Our services and facilities
The first visit to an unfamiliar church can be a daunting experience.
At All Saints,
we
try to do all we can to help.
Sunday services
The main service each Sunday, at 10.30 am, is a Common Worship sung communion,
with the children's
group meeting within the building for part of the time.
Family service is held on the first Sunday of the
month, and Holy Baptism on the third.
The other Sunday services are more traditional in style, using the 1928 prayer book.
At every service, one or more sidespersons, identified by a badge, will greet everyone at the door
and
make sure they have everything they need for the service. They are happy to help both beforehand
and
during the service. Please ask if you are unsure about anything.
Service Books
Hymn books and Bibles are kept at the end of each pew, and the sidespersons will
hand out any other
books needed.
For Common Worship services, we use our own specially printed booklets.
A few large
print copies of these and of the hymn books are available.
Children are very welcome
In addition to the Sunday group during the 10.30 service, the playden may be
freely used at any time,
or toys and books taken back to the pews.
Please don't feel concerned if your child wants to wander around, or makes a little noise.
Toilets
There is a toilet in the vestry. Unfortunately the space is limited, and wheelchair access
to the toilet is not possible. Planned redevelopments include a new, more accessible
facility during the next two years.
Hearing loop
The church is equipped with a full PA system, including an inductive hearing loop.
Please switch your
hearing aid to T, if you wish to use the loop.
