1st Moore Rainbows
The Rainbow section was first established in 1987. It was developed and encouraged to grow the same as Girl Guiding, flexibly utilising the skills of the leaders in partnership with the requirements of the girls. There was no formal structure to the meetings although they are based loosely on essentials in common with the other sections.
Rainbows are the youngest in Girl Guiding UK and
Rainbow Girls are We meet once a week and play games, do craft work, tell stories and sing songs. During summer we like to have most of our activities outside and we sometimes organise events at different places. Rainbows are also asked to take part in special occasions at church or in processions. We encourage good behaviour and friendship, and re-enforce the ethos of caring and sharing with family and with friends. We currently have 15 Rainbows and 3 Rainbow Leaders. If you would like to register your child on our waiting list, would like any further information or would like to enlist as a Leader, please contact any of the Rainbow Leaders listed below. Our aim is to give our Rainbows a positive experience that is enjoyable and fun!
